Cookie and Local Storage Policy

1. Scope

This policy describes the cookies, browser-local storage, and cookieless web telemetry currently used by Sila. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

2. Essential Supabase authentication storage

When an authorized user signs in to the web application, Sila uses essential Supabase authentication storage to establish, refresh, and preserve the signed-in session. This can include one or more Supabase auth-token cookies, including chunked cookie variants when the session value is too large for one cookie. Names include a project-specific prefix rather than a single universal name.

These items are necessary for account security and authenticated workspace access. Their lifetime follows the authentication session and provider configuration. Blocking or deleting them can sign the user out or prevent authenticated features from working.

3. Browser-local schedule drafts

The web schedule may place an unfinished schedule draft in browser-local storage so work can be recovered before submission. The draft is scoped in its storage key to the signed-in organization and user. It remains in that browser profile until it is submitted, replaced, cleared by the product, or removed through browser controls. Browser-local storage is not a cookie and is not sent with every web request.

4. Cookie-free Vercel telemetry

The public website uses Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights for page-use and performance measurements. These services are configured as cookie-free telemetry and do not use advertising identifiers. Before telemetry events leave the browser, Sila removes URL query strings and fragments and masks UUID path segments.

5. No advertising cookies

No marketing or advertising cookies are currently used, and Sila does not currently enable optional advertising tracking. If non-essential tracking is introduced in the future, we will update this policy and add an appropriate consent mechanism before that tracking or those cookies are enabled.

6. Managing storage

Browser controls can display or remove cookies and local storage. Removing essential authentication storage may sign the user out. Removing a local schedule draft can discard unsent work from that browser. Because the current telemetry is cookie-free and no optional advertising cookies are enabled, Sila does not currently show a cookie-consent banner.

7. Updates and contact
